About Lights in the Park & Light March

Lights for Lahaina – Day of Illumination is a heartfelt community event dedicated to honoring Lahaina’s spirit through remembrance, connection, and aloha. Presented by Aloha Amplified, Inc., in collaboration with Mālama Maui ‘Ohana Foundation, this gathering invites the public to reflect, heal, and stand together in support of Lahaina’s ongoing journey forward.

Set for Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 4 pm to 9 pm, the evening begins with LIGHTS IN THE PARK, a welcoming gathering on the grounds of one of Lahaina’s cherished historical landmarks – Maria Lanakila Catholic Church – featuring lantern-making, keiki activities, storytelling by moonlight, cultural activities, and local entertainment. As the Full Harvest Moon rises, participants may join the LIGHT MARCH to Puʻunoa Beach – a guided walk led by Kamaunu Kahaiali‘i, Kahu i nā mea ʻike Hawai‘i, offering space for reflection and shared intention.

Lights for Lahaina is more than an event – it’s a collective expression of hope, love, and resilience.

Who is Aloha Amplified?

Aloha Amplified, Inc. is a Maui-based nonprofit led by a small group of dedicated community members with experience in recovery efforts, environmental and cultural work, communications, and local economic development. At the heart, we’re simply people who love this island and want to give back. We created Aloha Amplified to support the strength already alive in our communities—by uplifting local stories, small businesses, and efforts that bring people together through events, programs, and connection. Everything we do is rooted in aloha and guided by a deep sense of kuleana for Hawai‘i’s future.
