Lights for Lahaina – Day of Illumination is a heartfelt community event dedicated to honoring Lahaina’s spirit through remembrance, connection, and aloha. Co-presented by Aloha Amplified, Inc. and the Mālama Maui ‘Ohana Foundation, this gathering invites the public to reflect, heal, and stand together in support of Lāhaina’s ongoing journey forward. Held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the evening begins with LIGHTS IN THE PARK, a welcoming gathering in the public park near the historic Banyan Tree, featuring lantern-making, storytelling by moonlight, cultural activities, and local entertainment.
As the Full Harvest Moon rises, participants may join the LIGHT MARCH to Puʻunoa Beach—a guided walk led by Kamaunu Kahaiali‘i, Kahu i nā mea ʻike Hawai‘i, offering space for reflection and shared intention. Lights for Lahaina is more than an event—it’s a collective expression of hope, love, and resilience.
